Right across the street, 100 steps away is Dairy Maid (best ice cream in town), and SurfSide Subs (best pizza in town).

If you want to walk a little farther… you can walk to Good Harbor Beach – across the pristine beach, cross the foot bridge, and head to a few small stores – there is a CVS, Stop and Shop, and an amazing coffee shop (Cape Ann Coffees) with the best oatmeal raisin cookies ever!!!  Across the street you will find a popular local seafood restaurant (Charlie’s Place), and another ice cream shop!

Or hop in a car and take a short ride downtown into historic Gloucester, where our quaint Main Street has some fabulous shops, and more delicious restaurants.

One of our favorites downtown for fine dining is The Franklin. The Franklin features seasonal menu’s, offers 2 intimate floors of dining, with bar seating on both levels, a fabulous menu, and delicious drinks to be had here! Three thumbs up again!!!

Speaking of favorites… another favorite of ours is The Azorean.  (We’ve run out of thumbs).  In the heart of Gloucester, this increcdible Portugese family style restaurant offers tapas, and amazing local seafood dishes to die for.  Don’t miss Cataplana Mondays, the best deal in town on a Monday.  You will likely find us there!  You can’t leave Gloucester without stopping here, and trying a Cataplana on a Monday night!!!

Yella on the Water is a flavor explosion of fabulousness! A must try is their chicken wing appetizer (ask for extra sauce), and then any dish you get is bound to be delicious!

There are many restaurants to choose from (we are foodies, and live next door). Depending on what you like, we can recommend restaurants, and other fun things to do and see during your stay between2beaches…

If you like to cook, you will have a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor bbq, and local shops to bring out the food connoisseur in you.  Check out Common Crow, or Market Basket (while you are there, you have to shop for amazing deals at our one and only Marshalls, at Gloucester Crossing, for you shopaholics like me).  Don’t forget too, in summer, Gloucester and Magnolia offer incredible Local Farmers Markets!!!
